Things I've Built (Pt. 1)

So, this will still be my photography blog, however, I feel that there has been enough demand from friends and family to post some pictures of things I've built, that I shall begin to do that every once in a while. And, since it's my blog, I can do whatever I want!

This first installment is a table I have made out of an old door my neighbor Ken gave me. He had found it down at the property he just bought (it's a pretty dang sketchy property btw). The table is made out of 2x6's and whoever made it hand carved T&G joinery (tongue & groove) into the boards. After thoroughly sanding the door (Ken was using it to throw knives into) I squared the edges and built the frame. The whole thing measures 5.5' long x 2' high x just under 3' wide. It's completely built out of reclaimed building materials including the pine slats that make up the shelf. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience which I hope to do again soon when I make a coffee table out of some 100+ year-old roofing planks someone gave me after tearing down a garage. So, without further ado:
